Labeling software should be intuitive and built with conventional standards.You should be able to design and print a basic label with little or no assistance. Online tutorials and comprehensive manuals help.

Is training available?
If your company is required to design complex labels to meet compliance labeling standards, or your requirements demand that you include information from multiple sources, training may be of benefit. Training is a minor expense in comparison with the potential benefit you will realize, especially if the instructor provides individualized attention to your labeling needs.

Will it work with my existing hardware?
Many labeling software packages support a limited number of printers, or require you to install special drivers. In addition, once a label is designed for one printer, it cannot be printed on a different printer. Compatibility with multiple printers allows you to assure the longevity of your software by allowing you to upgrade your printer.
